Auto Multicam: combining several cameras into one episode
Upload one file per camera and get a single episode that cuts to whoever is speaking.

Auto Multicam takes two to four camera recordings of the same conversation, lines them up from their sound, and cuts between them to whoever is talking. The result is one full-length episode you can open in the editor and clip like any other video.
Plan: Creator and above. On lower plans the page shows "Auto Multicam is on the Creator plan and above" with a See plans button.
What to upload
- Cameras: 2 to 4 files, MP4 or MOV, each under 3 hours.
- Sound (optional): one MP3 recorded on a separate mic or mixer. It shows as a Sound row next to the cameras. If it can't be lined up with the cameras, the episode uses the camera audio instead and says so.
Each camera file uses its own length of analysis time from your allowance.
Combine the cameras
- Open Auto Multicam from the header menu, or go to app.choppity.com/multicam.
- Under New episode, drop in your camera files and, if you have one, the sound file.
- Enter an Episode name. Leave it blank and it's called "Untitled episode".
- Combine turns on once every upload has finished. Click it.
The episode appears in your list with its progress: "Processing cameras · N of M ready", then "Lining up cameras…". If something goes wrong you'll see "Couldn't combine the cameras".
After it's ready
Click the episode to open it in the editor. From there you can trim it, add captions, or run the clip finder on it to pull out short clips.
